Scientology Information Center welcomes visitors to come in, watch informational videos, ask questions and sample great refreshments.
Clearwater, FL, March 4, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Scientology Information Center at 500 Cleveland Street in Downtown Clearwater will host its next open house reception March 25 during “Blast Friday” on Cleveland Street from 5-10pm.
Blast Friday is Downtown Clearwater’s free monthly concert and street fair and the Scientology Information Center has planned a special reception for that evening, making it easy for those in town for the concert to stop by and find out for themselves the answer to the popular question, “What is Scientology?” Visitors are free to peruse audio-visual and informational displays on Scientology and its Founder L. Ron Hubbard and its many humanitarian and social betterment programs. They are also invited to sample refreshments created by award-winning chefs from the historic Fort Harrison.

The Scientology Information Center opened in July 2015 and although it is still new to the community, to date some 7,000 have toured the facility. “Our reception is a great way to let the public know we are here and that all are welcome to come in and find out what Scientology is,” stated Amber Skjelset, the center’s manager.
One visitor at the last Blast Friday Open House commented, “I have always been curious about this place. The building and details are beautiful.” Another stated, “I always wanted to know more about L. Ron Hubbard and enjoyed the documentary on him.”
The Information Center is housed in the Historic Clearwater Building, built in 1918. Many locals remember when it was still the Bank of Clearwater, and are pleased that the Church restored if to its original elegance.
The Center has four interactive audiovisual displays which contain over 300 videos. These cover beliefs and practices of Scientology, interviews with Scientologists from various professions and walks of life, “Inside a Church of Scientology”, and a brief overview of the life and legacy of Mr. L. Ron Hubbard. Videos are available in 17 languages with subtitles for the hearing impaired. The center is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
Visitors to downtown Clearwater March 25 can look forward to a family-friendly food and craft vendor festival and a free concert on the Tampa Bay Times Cleveland Street Stage featuring Atlanta Rhythm Section with special guests Ellie Lee and Blues Fury. And there will also be free activities for the kids.
