Viewers across the country are treated to a stirring message with this year's Scientology ad, aired in major cities around the country during the Big Game
LOS ANGELES, February 3, 2020 (Newswire.com) - The new Scientology ad emphasizes that, in a culture often fixated on the material, it’s time to rediscover the human soul.
Those watching the Big Game in major metropolitan areas around the country saw a fast-paced 30-second ad that began with images of today’s highly mechanized and technological world — a world, the ad points out, that so often offers “a dream of convenience, but what of self-fulfillment? Happiness? Peace of mind?”
The ad then clarifies what is meant by “rediscovery of the human soul.”
“We’re not talking about the mystical, the metaphysical or the supernatural. We’re talking about the source of your abilities, your motivation your vitality — the thing that makes you YOU.”
This is the eighth consecutive year the curiosity of millions of viewers and sports fans has been piqued with a Scientology ad. Last year’s garnered more than two million views on YouTube, topping the 1.2 million of the 2018 ad, all in addition to the many millions more watching live.
The 2020 ad has particular relevance in light of a Pew Research Center study finding that more and more Americans consider themselves spiritual rather than religious, suggesting that, while religious membership may be declining, the need for spiritual self-discovery will never fade.
“It’s time to find out for yourself,” the ad concludes, “to look, to know. It’s time to rediscover the human soul.”
Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard once wrote: “You are a spirit. You are your own soul. You are not mortal. You can be free.”
