Madrid, Spain, April 28, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The President of the National Church of Scientology of Spain has announced a new competition to promote human rights and tolerance in journalism. Journalists age 35 or younger may enter and compete for cash prizes: 1st place 300 €, 2nd place 175 € and 3rd place 100 €.
The contest aims to encourage young journalists to value human rights and tolerance in their reporting of the news.
The deadline for contest entries is May 15, 2016.
Winners will be promoted to the media and the winning entries will be published online. The awards ceremony will take place in June 2016.
The Church also honors civic and religious leaders with its annual Religious Freedom Awards. Past recipients include Dr. Dionisio Llamazares, Dr. Ricardo García García and Ms. Mercedes Murillo.
