Church of Scientology Honors Veterans on Armed Services Day

The Fort Harrison has held some 500 community events. It is our pleasure to provide our facilities for events by like-minded community groups and individuals

The Fort Harrison religion retreat hosts an Armed Services Day brunch and numerous other community events hosted by the Church on behalf of Tampa Bay nonprofit organizations throughout the year.

The Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization will host a brunch in the Fort Harrison auditorium May 21 in honor of Armed Forces Day. The program, featuring a gourmet brunch buffet prepared by the Fort Harrison’s award-winning chefs, is planned as a special acknowledgment for veterans and those in active duty military.

“Since the late 1920s, the Fort Harrison has been the place to come for meetings and special community events and we are proud to continue this tradition,” says Pat Harney, spokesperson for the Church of Scientology in Clearwater. “Since its top to bottom restoration in 2009, the Fort Harrison has held some 500 community events. It is our pleasure to provide our facilities for this purpose to like-minded community groups and individuals.”
